I'm beginning to love punchy contrasty abstracts and also shallow depth of field! It really is a cool artistic way of taking photos. I got encouraged when my kit lens started to fail on me and hence I used my 50mm more often
As usual, I'm open to all comments & criticism. Please feel free to ask me about anything concerning the photographs taken.

I love what you're doing here as well, Ming! In addition to the wonderful DOF and lighting, I am drawn to the atmosphere that you have created here. There is a hint of sadness yet one can hear the soothing music.

Beautiful shot. The 50mm is a wonderful lens. It creates magic if used properly.
